Women Admits She Called Neighbor the Wrong Name For 14 Years

We all hear hilarious (and sometimes petty) neighbor stories. Calling your neighbor the wrong name is probably passable. Everyone makes mistakes, after all. But what if it goes on for 14 years? Would that be simple fun or just pettiness? Or is there some other category you can put it in?

There is, according to this comedian on TikTok. But what exactly happened, and why is it hilarious in the first place? Let’s see.

Stephanie Aird, a comedian, recently posted a video on her TikTok about her neighbor next door, full of plot twists. In the video, Stephanie talks about her next-door neighbors, who she has known for 14 years. They were a lovely couple, George and Mavis. They do all the lovely neighbor-like things, and it is cute.

The man of the house, George, has recently passed away, and that’s where the story begins. George’s passing got poor Mavis in a bad spot, enough that even Stephanie could see it. She did her best to talk to Mavis and be there for her. It’s the most human thing to do.

After a while, Stephanie talked to her neighbor about George and Mavis. She was talking about how Mavis was doing and how she was trying to cope with her husband’s death, and then she noticed her neighbor was looking at her funny. That’s when she learned she doesn’t have any neighbor named Mavis.

George’s wife is named Sylvia, so how she got to Mavis from there is a wonder. Then again, Stephanie is a comedian, and there are chances that this story has less truth than you’d think. Either way, her reaction to the whole thing was hilarious.

Knowing someone by a different name is normal, but for 14 years? That is something else. But it is nice to see a hilarious neighbor story instead of the petty ones we always see.
