If you use social media, Twitter, TikTok, etc., you’ve probably been bombarded with the same video clip repeatedly. If this video is true, it has to be among the strangest things ever to hit the web. This video is from the premiere of “Don’t Worry, Darling,” It shows Harry Styles seemingly spitting at Chris Pine.
Behind the Scene Drama
The narrative has progressed to the point that it is difficult to summarize in a few words, but here goes. A dispute between film actor Florence Pugh and the film’s director Olivia Wilde was said to be going on not too long ago. The rumor began circulating a few weeks back. Consequently, Pugh withdrew from most of the film’s advertising and left Wilde to handle everything on her own.
Wilde claimed that she fired Shia LaBeouf from the movie because of her strict no-jerk policy at the outset. Still, LaBeouf disproved this by uploading a recording of Wilde pleading with him to come back to the film following his ostensibly quit, in which she referred to an event that had occurred off-screen as “a wake-up call for Miss Flo.”
But then Everything was Sorted
However, all of this is now behind them. The world premiere of “Don’t Worry, Darling” took place in Venice yesterday, and so it provided everyone connected with the production with a chance to refocus their focus outward. Everybody was there, including Pugh, who traveled to Italy, and everyone’s focus was solely on minimizing the magnificent harm that might have been done.
Until ”The Spitting” Happened
A viral video depicts this scenario precisely. Chris Pine is perched uneasily on the edge of his chair, on one side Olivia Wilde and a vacant seat on the other. Chris can’t help but uncomfortably squint and twist his entire body in every direction as if he’s expecting something. Amidst cheers from the crowd, Harry Styles strolls into view, his blue suit’s collar hanging out awkwardly.
Before sitting down, Styles stops and looks at Pine’s lap for a while. Pine abruptly stops clapping, glances in his lap, and shakes his head in amazement as if somebody had stopped him. Why did this occur? As stated by many observers, a roll of spit was reportedly hawked up by Styles and launched over Pine’s clothes.
Well, did Harry Styles really spit on Chris Pine? We guess we’ll never really know!
